Overview

Our private in-person adolescent dog training programme is designed for dogs who have moved beyond the puppy stage and need structured, real-world training support. This five-session, one-to-one programme focuses on building reliability, calm behaviour, and responsiveness during the adolescent phase — a period where many dogs begin testing boundaries and struggling with distractions. Training is tailored to you, your dog, and your specific challenges, with a clear structure and progression across sessions. No assessment is required for this package.

• Training delivered at Lee Dog Training, Midleton, Cork (P25 TP08)

Your first session is booked online. The remaining sessions are scheduled during your first appointment to ensure appropriate spacing and progression.

Suitable Age Range

This programme is suitable for adolescent dogs approximately 5 months and older.

What We Cover

This programme focuses on adolescent-stage behaviour and training, including:

• Sit and stay

• Threshold and impulse-control training

• Loose lead walking

• Recall foundations and reliability

• Stopping jumping up and over-excitement

• Reducing reactivity and frustration-based behaviours

• Real-world focus and handling around distractions

Training is adapted to your dog’s age, breed, temperament, and home environment to ensure realistic and achievable progress.

Important Information

This is adolescent-level training. Dogs should already have basic puppy foundations in place. If your dog is younger than approximately 5 months, our private puppy training programme is more appropriate.
