This private adolescent dog training programme is designed for dogs who have moved beyond the puppy stage and now need more focused, one-to-one support.

The adolescent stage is where many dogs begin to struggle with pulling, ignoring commands, overexcitement, jumping up, frustration, poor focus and testing boundaries. This programme gives you clear, practical training that is tailored to your dog, your handling and your day-to-day challenges.

Because this is private training, it is a better option for dogs who may find a group class too difficult, too distracting or unsuitable.

What’s Included

• 4 private, in-person training sessions
• Each session lasts approximately 50–60 minutes
• One-to-one support with a structured progression
• Training delivered at Lee Dog Training, Midleton, Cork
• No assessment required for this package

What We Cover

Training is adapted to your dog’s age, breed, temperament and home environment, but may include:

• Sit and stay
• Threshold and impulse-control training
• Loose lead walking
• Recall foundations and reliability
• Stopping jumping up and overexcitement
• Reducing frustration-based behaviour
• Improving focus around distractions
• Better handling and control in real-world situations

Is This Right for Your Dog?

This programme is ideal if your adolescent dog needs structured help but is not suitable for a group setting.

It may suit dogs who are easily distracted, overly excited, frustrated, difficult to control, or simply need a clearer training plan than a group class can provide.

If your dog is younger than approximately 5 months, our private puppy training programme is more appropriate.
