In Person Training Assessment

Start in the Right Place

Professional Dog Training Starts With the Right Plan

Every dog is different.

Two dogs can show the same behaviour for completely different reasons — and if you guess, or follow the wrong advice, you often waste time and make the problem harder to fix.

That’s why all training at Lee Dog Training starts with an in-person assessment.

An assessment gives you clear direction, a realistic plan, and a proper starting point — before you commit to training.

An assessment allows me to:

  • Understand what’s really going on with your dog
  • Look at your dog, your setup, and your goals as a whole picture
  • Identify what’s driving the behaviour, not just the symptoms
  • Give you a clear, honest plan for what to do next

Just as importantly, it gives you a chance to:

  • Get clear answers
  • Understand the process
  • Meet the trainer before committing to any training programme

No guessing. No generic plans. No wasted time.

What You’ll Get From Your Assessment

  • A clear explanation of what’s happening and why
  • A realistic, practical plan of action (this is an assessment and planning session — not a full training lesson)
  • Clear guidance on what to do next, which may include:
    • Starting online foundation training
    • Booking in-person training sessions
    • Or using a combination of both
  • Honest advice on what will actually work for your dog

In-Person Assessment (First Step)

At our Midleton training centre.

Duration: 30 minutes

This is the starting point for training at Lee Dog Training and is suitable for:

  • Pulling on the lead
  • Recall not working outside
  • Jumping up, overexcitement, not listening
  • Reactivity around dogs/people (mild–moderate)
  • Adolescent “regression” (things getting worse again)
  • If you’re simply not sure what the best next step is

Note: If you’re dealing with a serious bite risk or severe aggression case, its advised to book two back-to-back sessions to give us the time needed to assess properly

Seeing your dog in person allows me to properly assess what’s going on and give you the most accurate advice and the best possible plan.

The Philosophy

There is no “one size fits all” in dog training.

The assessment is not a sales step. It is a planning step — so you start in the right place and don’t waste time, money, or effort.
